Beach Life Made Easy
It would not be an over exaggeration to say this trolley/cart changed my life. It is the best folding beach trolley I’ve used. Come with me on a trip back through time to the first lockdown. Picture the scene, a father (on furlough) tasked with entertaining two kids and dog for weeks on end. Previously we’d been to the beach a lot but it was nothing to the amount of time we suddenly found ourselves spending down there.
We’re lucky enough to live in East Lothian and have a range of fantastic beaches on our doorstep. Tyninghame, Coldingham (New Asgard), Seacliff to name just a few. All of them are within a 30min drive from the house.
But it became apparent very quickly, that shifting the amount of stuff needed for a day at the beach was becoming difficult. So, I did what I always do and reached for the online review sections. Trying to find a beach buggy that could help shoulder some of the weight.
The result after many hours of searching was the Sekey Folding Wagon.
Is It Worth It?
I have to admit, I was a little reticent about spending so much, especially during a time of unrest in the job market. But I shouldn’t have been worried, this beach cart has managed to turn a fairly arduous day out into a breeze.
It’s more than capable of being loaded up with everything we need (check out the page here to see the full listing). From beach tents to portable BBQs, and body boards to wetsuits, this sturdy little truck was able to cope with the lot.

Build and Construction
It’s incredibly well made and folds down small enough that it can fit in the boot and still leave room for the dog. The wheels are light and oversized meaning that it’s a dream to pull along the beach, even when fully loaded.
The handle can extend to three different lengths which allows the kids to help pull it along, and it locks into place making sure it doesn’t turn into a trip hazard once you finally find a spot on the beach.
The frame is tough, galvanised metal and is rock solid. The internal section is made from very hard wearing material and available in range of colours (our one is green).
The internal area can be removed completely which is very handy when you want to remove a days worth of sand rather than transport it back home.
Folding Flat
It’s also worth mentioning how this folds down. It’s not exactly flat; folded it is about 8 inches (21cm) in width. It’s certainly small and portable enough to fit in the back of the boot and still leave room for bodyboards and BBQs.
When setup the whole trolley is 80cm in length, 45cm wide and 26cm tall. Capacity is 94l which is surprisingly roomy. We’ve even managed to transport the kids about in it.
1 Year On and Still Going Strong
We’ve had this for over a year now and I’d say that it’s been in pretty much constant use. There’s not really been a weekend where we’ve not been down the beach with it. We’ve also used it around the garden to transport plants and dispose of cuttings and it’s never let us down.
Still looks great, nothing has broken on it. Still folds up without any problems and still looks like new.
Can’t really fault it and it’s made such a massive difference to carting all the stuff around down to the beach. Do yourself a favour and get one!
