What backpack is used on SAS Who Dares Wins?

SAS Who Dares Wins

I’ll be honest, I love this show. I’m a bit of an Ant Middleton fanboy anyway after reading two of his books and watching nearly everything he’s been in.

But Sunday’s just wouldn’t be Sunday’s without SAS Who Dares Wins on Channel 4. And like all good armchair soldiers, there’s nothing I like more than to buy the products that are used on these type of shows. I mean, if you can’t (and I definitely won’t) be appearing on them, then the next best thing is to at least use the same kit!

What Backpack?

Therefore, I was very keen to try and find out what backpacks they were using on the show and it wasn’t until the very last episode of SAS Who Dares Wins that I got a clear enough shot of the logo.

When the last two recruits (SPOILER ALERT) James and Chris were told they’d passed selection, one of them turned to congratulate the other and it was then that I managed to pause the recording and zero in on the backpack.

Turns out it’s made by Highlander, a well know outward bounds equipment maker. Even better than that, I was able to identify a couple of lines under the logo that marked out which specific product it was; Pro Force.

Now you can find a range of Highlander equipment on their (let’s be honest, quite awful website) here: Welcome to Highlander Outdoor | Highlander Outdoor or you can click on the handy Amazon link below.

Round Up

But I wasn’t able to find the exact product that was on the telly, the closest I could get after extensive Googling was a camo version of the New Forces.

And seeing as how I was in the market for (1) Anything to do with the show, and (2) A new rucksack, I hot footed it down to Leith Army Supplies to check out the range. As luck would have it, they had the Highlander New Force 66 litre in stock.

Talking to the owner, she confirmed that the backpack had been very popular due to its appearance on the show. Good enough for me!

So there you have it, the rucksack featured in SAS Who Dares Wins is a variation on the Highlander New Force. The link to which is below and for anyone interested, and I know you will be!
